Evernote [essential tools]

Evernote’s tagline, “Remember everything,” is spot on. I signed up for a free account when the public beta was launched in 2008, but I stopped using the service because I didn’t understand how the “cloud” program would help my workflow. At the time, I was searching for a OneNote replacement (which I have not found). Evernote did not cut it for me.

Fast forward a year and I am regular user. I downloaded the free Evernote iPhone app and I realized that had a mobile system for “remembering everything” — voice, text, photos. I capture on the go and view/edit using the desktop and web applications.

Check out this list for 14 great ways to use Evernote. Add “geotagging” to #2.

Full Disclosure: Squat. I use the free version of Evernote.
